As a part of any chimney cleaning or checkup you will receive a written report that shows the overall condition of your fireplace and chimney. The chimney sweep that comes to your home will do everything he can to gather all the information needed to give you the go-ahead to burn. By the time your serviceman leaves, you will know whether your system seems to be ready to burn or whether something he saw will prevent you from enjoying your system.
